Shawn is the founder and leader of the Great Lakes Bay Construction Team. Shawn has over 20 years of experience through hundreds of design and construction projects from site evaluation and planning through final occupancy.

Shawn is a graduate of Central Michigan University where he holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management.

 Patrick P. Pnacek
Patrick P. PnacekVice President

Patrick is a Project Management Professional and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt in process and systems design. He has significant financial, development, commercial and industrial experience. Strategic planning, tactical implementation, and sustainability is a key focus.

​Patrick has a Bachelor’s Degree and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Keshia Rotz

Keshia has been working in the construction industry as an accountant for over 15 years. She has a vast knowledge of accounts payables, receivables, and construction financing.

Keshia holds an Associate’s degree in accounting from Delta College. ​

Joe LaCross

Joe leads our estimating, project management, safety and field operations team. He has been working in the construction industry for over 10 years and prior to starting his current role he was a Sr. Project Manager/ Estimator. His experience lies primarily in Healthcare, Manufacturing and Retail.

Joe attended Michigan Technological University.

Tom Rosencrants

Tom has been working as a Project Manager for over 5 years. His primary experience is in Restaurants, Medical and Light Commercial Construction. Prior to starting his career in construction, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Northern Michigan University.

Jeff Kienbaum
Jeff KienbaumProject Manager Project Architect - LEED AP
Jeff has over 25 years of experience in Design, Project management and construction, where he has an extensive background
in Commercial, Industrial, Health Care and Religious organizations.

Jeff has a degree in Architecture where he attended Delta College and Lawrence Tech University.
He has advanced skills in developing 3D building models, renderings, animations with various computer software
and is a Certified LEED AP by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Ken DeWyse
Ken DeWyseGeneral Superintendent

Ken has been working in the construction industry for over 40 years and his extensive background makes him a valuable asset to our team. Ken manages our field operations which includes resource scheduling our superintendents / carpenters, and tools / equipment to make each project operate smoothly and efficiently.

Ken holds a State of Michigan Builders License.

Bernadette MacDonald
Bernadette MacDonaldArchitectural Designer

Bernadette is a graduate of Central Michigan University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a minor in construction. She has experience in AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as Michigan Building Codes. Bernadette can assist our clients with viable design layouts to fit their needs.

Peggy Bergkamp
Peggy BergkampSafety Director

Peggy has 13 years of safety experience, with an Associate’s degree in Office Systems and extensive field experience in safety and construction. Peggy’s safety experience and training allow her to share these experiences with staff, so they go home safe to their families every day!

Kari is a licensed realtor in Michigan who joined the team in 2015. Kari offers our clients a knowledge of real estate development and site selection. She understands the commercial construction industry and the best locations to create positive results for our clients.

With over 15 years of customer service and administrative experience, Ashlie is customer service oriented, manages the office administration and provides accounting support.

Gregory Saxton

With more than 30 years’ experience in construction, property management, project planning and development, Greg is an expert in real estate negotiations as well as the development of site plans and project scope. A graduate of Ferris State University, Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an Associate’s degree in Real Estate Management.

David Kell
David KellBusiness Development Manager
David has worked with local companies and foundations to achieve strategic goals of the community through development projects and events within the region. He has made close relationships with regional employers and organizations and has vast knowledge of the local community and region. David has experience with federal contracts in the construction industry.

David has a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University.
